Went out with my ex-roomie, pei hiang, today. Realised that i really missed her a lot after she left.
I MISS... ...- the times when we lazed around in our room talking about guys and the qualities of our prospective boyfriends
- the times when i always complain to her about how lousy i felt after training
- the times when i will go fetch her from NIE when its pouring cats and dogs
- the times when she will ask me to go jogging with her and i will always come up with some lousy excuses not to go
- the times when we played softball and tennis in our room
- the times when she fell asleep with the lights on reading the textbooks on her bed
- the time when we talked for 2 hrs straight on the night before our marketing exam, and ended up not studying for it instead
- the times when we will complain that we are flooding again during that time of the month
- the times when we forget to collect in our clothes when its raining, and we had to wait for our underwears to dry before we could bathe
- the times when we walk together to class every morning
- the times when we both liked stressing each other out by complaining how hard our core modules are, and how badly we are going to do in the end
- the time when we were both very relieved to have done reasonably well in our subjects
- the times when she will always stand up for me when i complain how irritating uncle don and john were
Was glad that we could meet up today finally after so so long. Told her about the new roomie that came in, and many other stuff that happened in hall. She was totally amused when she knew that i told uncle don that i think i am more chio than my new roomie, and that uncle don said my skin was as thick as an elephant's. She was a little disappointed that i didn't wear my mini short pink skirt to meet her. We went around window shopping for clothes, bracelets, and perfume. I was quite disappointed that the scent of the Lancome perfume 'magic' wasn't as nice as i thought. Haiz... it wasn't that magical after all...
Hope to meet up with her again some other times. Just feel that im really fortunate to have such a great roomie... even though she is not around in sch now.
This year's Chinese New Year is the best one I ever had. This year's new year is different from last year's is that we did not visit any relatives this year. As you know, daddy's condition this year don't allow us to do any visiting. For the previous years, our 1st day of new year will be to go to the temple, after which we will make a trip to the river angbao near Esplanade. Then the 2nd day will be devoted to visiting relatives and stopping by my auntie's hse for lunch. She cooks really well. Have always enjoyed going over her place every new year to eat good food.
Haiz... this year is so different. The 1st day of new year, i stayed at home the whole day. My uncles came to visit us for a short while in the morning, then they made their trip to the temple without us. I was disappointed. But i also know tat it is inconvenient to bring daddy out. We stayed at home to take care and accompany daddy the whole day.
I thought this new year is going to be the most boring one ever. But i was wrong. Licheng invited us over to his house. He opened his house for visiting. Then our hong wen pri 6A class went over his house to 'bai nian'. It was so fun... even though only a few of us turned up. Me, andie, si rui, junyi, licheng and kian hai had such a fun time together. We are still keeping in touch and on good terms even though we are primary sch friends. Licheng bought 'yu sheng' and we 'lao yu sheng'. So fun!!!!!!!! Then we received ang bao from licheng's mum. Then licheng also showed us some funny video of the past primany sch gatherings. That finger passing technique by melvyn and junyi was so damn amusing. They also told a lot of jokes, many of which i don't get it, but i dunno why, and they said im slow. Hiaz... i expected tat. Even Don and john say so.
We also called 'chen lao shi' hse to greet her happy chinese new year. She was our higher chinese teacher in pri sch. Veri fierce, but a good teacher nonetheless. SO SO excited. She sounded great over the phone. So long din see her le....
Then licheng suggested that we go our other primary sch's friend's hse to 'bai nian', many of whom lived around my area. We went feng run's hse. Played bridge and dai dee... then clumsy si rui knocked the tidbits all over the floor...
Next we went jing lun's hse. Saw his girlfriend. Quite pretty sia. Then jing lun's mum gave us ang bao too!!!!!!!!! Then we were looking through our pri sch class photos... damn amusing... coz' some of us changed so much over the years. Of course, i was super easily recognized last time in the photos with my famous mushroom head hairstyle.
Thank God for the chinese new year this year. I appreciate it.
