Kangli said this was a significant day, so it would be great to blog it down. Alright... Here goes... The date is Jan 2. Shi Chuan aka Federer invited us to his house for tennis. Federer played soccer in the morning, and was utterly shag by the time we played tennis. He was swearing, cursing, and kicking his racket, but the miracle thing was that he could still hit miracle shots! Simple shots were a failure, but he never failed to hit miracle shots that amazed us just as much as how he missed those easy shots.
Kang was punishing the ball like crazy, as if there was some enmity between him and the ball. One wonders where his bull strength came from. Well, I was a girl, so obviously, I slowed down the game a little for them. I don't have kang's bull strength u know... though I really wish I had his power packed forehand.
As usual, we decided to play a few matches. The loser buys the drink. Federer and Edmund were termed 'miscellaneous' by Kang, which obviously 'infuriated' them. They came back with a vengence, leading me and Kang 2-0 before it started to pour heavily. So, 'miscellaneous' declared themselves winners by default. I was so certain that me and Kang would have won if we had continued.
So, when the rain had stopped, me and Kang went for dinner at Ang Mo Kio S11. I had never been there to eat before, but Kang said the food there was not too bad. There were lots of famous stalls that were advertised on Channel U before. We ate "you mian" and "ban mian", and I thought it was not too bad! Kang was still hungry, so he ordered another plate of pad thai. I thought the pad thai was really nice... But neither of us realised that the pad thai did not have any pumpkins in it. Argh!!!!!! Non-authentic pad thai!!!!!
As we were sitting in front of the beancurd stall, the strawberry beancurd caught my eye. I thought it was quite innovative to have strawberry beancurd! The mango beancurd looked good as well, but in the end, I settled for strawberry beancurd. It was simply great! The beancurd was so smooth! And not too sweet! Better than Rochor Beancurd! Heavenly!
We both went home feeling full and satisfied! =)
