6 days of leave left. I'm clearing all at a go in the last week of Dec! Whee~~~~

Anyway, I went to KL 2 weeks ago. A shopping trip basically, but was so disappointed, because there really wasn't much to buy. But nonetheless, it was nice getting out of Singapore for a breather. =)

I've been for 2 job interviews last month, and I received 2 job offers this week. Fyi, L'Oreal has extended my contract again till Mar. This is the 3rd time they have extended my contract. I can't say how pissed I am. That's why I've been active in my job search again.

I guess everyone must be wondering which job offer I took up? Actually, I turned down both job offers, and both of them are prestigious companies. I really thought for a long time before turning down both job offers. The reason? One company was all the way in pandan crescent, which is really way too far for me, and also I get the impression that the boss I was to work with will be a tough nut to crack. Otherwise than that, in terms of job scope, I think I will be able to learn and get lots of experience, especially since that the company is in the manufacturing industry. In terms of salary, it's slightly lower than what I'm currently drawing.

The other company (in the healthcare industry) is nearer my house. This company offers a package equivalent to what I'm getting now. However, in terms of job scope, it's quite narrow. The job scope is on providing bonds and scholarships for nurses. Thus, I have to interview and select candidates for the nursing occupation. I also have to deal with lots of figures and reports, because I have to do the budgeting and forecasting for the scholarships. The other part of the job deals with training. I've got to send the current nurses for training courses. The thing I don't like about the job is that my knowledge will be so specific on that particular occupation. To say simply, it's a HR generalist (50% HRM, 50% HRD) role in a specialized occupation.

If given a choice, I rather be a HR specialist (be it recruitment, training etc), but for a wider range of occupations.

Honestly speaking, it's not easy to find jobs at this time of the year, since people will be staying on for their bonuses. But I've got 2 job offers! Many people must be thinking that I should be appreciative of this fact, and I should just grab one and go. After all, my current company does not promise me anything long term, and I'm also in danger of being kicked out of the company anytime they don't need me anymore. I'm really appreciative of the fact that I have the offers, but somehow, I chose to go with my feelings. I just don't feel right if I were to take up either offer. I don't think I will enjoy my work there. The most important thing is that, I don't want to leave a 'pirate ship', only to board another one.

I guess as of now, I will still stay...

&Life Philosophy
All our lives we search for someone who makes us complete. We choose partners and change partners. We dance the song of heartbreak and carry our hopes within us, wondering if somewhere,somehow there is someone searching for us.

Dance as though no one is watching you. Love as though you have never been hurt before. Sing as though no one can hear you. Live as though heaven is on earth.
~~~
Our lives are not determined by what happens to us but by how we react to what happens, not by what life brings to us, but by the attitude we bring to life. A positive attitude causes a chain reaction of positive thoughts, events, and outcomes. It is a catalyst, a spark that creates extraordinary results. ~~~
